“Tecer o amanhã” (Weaving Tomorrow) is the exhibition resulting from the artistic residency with artists Ana Leandro, Cindy Steiler and Mónica Faria at Casa da Cultura in Fafe. This exhibition is a continuation of Experimentar o Têxtil (To experiment textile) programme, promoted by Contextile/Ideias Emergentes, developed during 2023  and 2024, which had a strong impact on the artists and, above all, on the communities that welcomed them, interacting, sharing stories and knowledge, which resulted in the exhibitions “Conversas entre o corpo e a palha” (Conversations between the body and straw), ‘LãnoLinho’ (Wool and Linen), ‘Palha a Lã no Linho’ (Straw, Wool and Linen), as well as workshops and artistic residencies.

‘Weaving Tomorrow’ is the embodiment of a cycle that pulsates in Fafe. It is the name that brings the exhibition to life, in a creative and collaborative relationship with and within the local community.

This exhibition also featured a performance in the Praça da Casa da Cultura, on the cycle of straw and wool with the Corredoura Folk Group, Rancho Folcório de Fafe and a straw workshop with the artisans of Fafe.
